Porter Teleo is pleased to present two new additions to their Hand Painted Textile Collection.Â
Porter Teleo textiles are meticulously hand-painted, one yard at a time, using richly pigmented inks, fine art brushes, and the highest quality textile grounds. There are no stencils or repeats to adhere to; each panel is painted by an artist who has an intuitive understanding of the pattern. Our designs are composed of compositional shapes, linework, and pattern details that take on lives of their own. The result? A completely unique, one-of-a-kind textile, which brings art into the home in a new way, from window treatments to upholstery and beyond.
While many digitally printed textiles on the market strive to achieve a painted look, at Porter Teleo we believe that nothing beats the real thing. The drips and brushstrokes of our hand-painted designs are real; the layering is achieved by the actual process itself and, without a manufactured repeat, the patterns read like a mural, with authentic artistic expression evident in each piece.

INK BLOTS offers a handmade interpretation of a familiar subject. Organic forms are created through blotting the artist’s inks onto high-quality Japanese papers. The pattern features one large, vertical inkblot per panel. No two inkblots are alike, as they are individually created and do not cross the horizontal seam.
GEO is an abstract composition of gracefully formed curves, fields of open space, formal shapes, and painted surfaces. Powerfully composed, each shape in this hand-painted pattern correlates with the overall design. It reminds us of the art world's rich history of painting and surface quality.
