Porter Teleo exists to merge the best of fine art and high design into an exquisite collection of handmade textiles and wallcoverings created using traditional fine art techniques. Born out of a collaborative vision between co-founders Kelly Porter and Bridgett Cochran, Porter Teleo continues to push the limits with both original imagery and fresh color palettes, using the richest materials and pigments available to make products that are both functional and beautiful.

Porter, an award-winning abstract painter whose artwork hangs in museums, galleries, and celebrity homes, and Cochran, a designer with an eye for detail and distinctiveness, bonded over a shared passion: to create and capture something totally new for the design world.

Merging the best of fine art and high design, Porter Teleo’s innovative collections of hand-painted wallcoverings have been described as poetry for walls. Each panel of wallcovering is created one at a time by Porter Teleo’s team of artists employing traditional fine art processes, such as wood blocking and ink wash painting. The product is brought to life using only the finest materials - from the richest artist-grade, archival pigments to the highest quality Japanese papers.

The hand painted patterns are individually made to order, panel by panel – never mass produced. Through the process of aesthetic judgments made by our highly trained team of studio artists, each composition is artistically produced – never created with stencils, digital printing, copying imagery or any manufactured techniques. While each panel varies slightly, Porter Teleo’s mindful and meticulous process allows for continuity within the design. The patterns enliven the best interiors with a bold, distinctive color palette and a refined aesthetic.

Porter Teleo’s hand painted textile collection includes both direct interpretations of patterns found in our wallcovering line, as well as beautiful textures and patterns created specifically for the textile medium. Beginning with the finest materials, including luxury linens, silks, and other natural fibered textiles, we create this line in much the same manner as the wallcoverings: by hand, panel by panel, and using only the finest materials. 

Within the textile collection, designers can enjoy the creative options of custom color, scale, and design. The panels are made to the inch per your workroom’s specifications allowing for the use of very large scale patterns without the overwhelming waste that comes with that.

Because these textiles are side matched panel by panel and not repeated, they allow for the spaces using Porter Teleo textiles to feel different from anything else. The patterns create a type of all-encompassing visual surrounding like that of being immersed inside of a painting.
