DALLAS KIPS BAY DECORATOR SHOW HOUSE

Six talented designers invited Porter Teleo to be a part of their creative visions for the 2025 Dallas Kips Bay Decorator Show House. Explore their spaces and see how they used our Hand Painted Wallcoverings and Textiles – each with a completely custom twist!

Mr. Trotter's Drawing Room

Designed by Omaha-based duo, Studio Eckström, this cozy interior room is a modern interpretation of a Gilded Age salon, imagined for the fictional Jack Trotter (of HBO's "The Gilded Age" fame). French silhouettes, American sensibility, and a modern collector's eye come together to create the room's sense of elevated comfort and casual grandeur.

Created for the collector who lives with things, not around them, designers Mark and Mikal Eckström commissioned a customized version of our hand-painted PATINA wallcovering to dress the walls of their space.

To accomplish the layered, lived-in look they were striving for, the Eckströms requested a "water-damaged" appearance for the wallcovering.

Thrilled to oblige such an uncommon request, our studio got to work testing and refining a technique that would create the desired effect while still presenting a clean, refined finish.

The result immerses the room in a subtle wash of color and texture, creating a perfectly patinaed backdrop for the eclectic assortment of art and objects that bring Mr. Trotter's Drawing Room to life.

JADED FLAMBOYANCE

We had the joy of creating striking custom drapery for this unforgettable hallway designed by Mrs. Paranjape, who commissioned a bespoke pink and green colorway of our pattern TANGLED. Hand-painted onto heavyweight silk taffeta, the twisting, meandering lines echo the serpent motif on the ceiling.

Set within a decadent, emerald-drenched Gallery Hall layered with dimensional tile, lush wallcoverings, sculptural lighting, and curated art, our drapery adds movement and a painterly depth to the space. Every detail was considered, from antique accents to bold Versace touches, creating an environment that feels both indulgent and playfully irreverent.

It’s a thrill to see our hand-painted work woven into such a vivid narrative for a space that celebrates imagination, craft, and the joy of daring design.

THE RUMOR ROOM

Welcome to The Rumor Room – a space where mid-century mystique and modern artistry collide.

Designed by JD Ireland, the room reimagines Babe Paley’s iconic 1960s Fifth Avenue living room through a contemporary lens.

At the center of it all: a monumenal globe wrapped in our hand-painted SILK SCARF textile, custom colored in moody strokes of peach, orange, and taupe. The piece, fabricated into a dramatic, one-of-a-kind fixture by Fenchal Shades, was designed to ignite every brushstroke in a warm, cinematic glow.

Suspended overhead like a quiet star, the globe sets the tone for a space made for midnight martinis, sculptural silhouettes, and impeccably dressed drama.

The Shape Of Things

On the outdoor terrace, Lisa & Leroy unveils The Shape of Things — a living tableau where form, shadow, and connection take center stage.

For this sculptural retreat, we hand-painted a custom Greco-Roman inspired canvas to anchor the bar. Soft fresco-like washes meet architectural lines, creating a backdrop that feels both ancient and entirely new – a quiet homage to the dialogue between art and environment.

"We designed the room as if curiosity was an aesthetic," says designer Sarah Stacey of Sarah Stacey Interior Design. Leaning into rich color, layered pattern and an unguarded sense of whimsy, The Last Room is wrapped in a customized version of our MATRICE wallcovering.
