Inside Sales Specialist
This position is part of Porter Teleo’s Client Service team, which is responsible for ensuring client retention, and white glove service is at the foundation of all client interactions. The Inside Sales Specialist manages external client engagement, through phone & zoom calls, emails, and direct mailings.
Reporting to the Director of Client Services, this team member will engage, reengage, and target existing and potential design professional clients. Success requires implementing strategic phone sales strategies, effective communication skills, and time management skills. The role requires extensive phone calls, zoom calls and email to clients that are not seen or met with in person. While this role is part of a client service team that is passionate about delivering white glove experiences, this specific role requires an experienced sales team member to further strengthen existing and build new client relationships to meet sales goals.
Schedule: 24 hrs/week
Workplace: Kansas City, MO
6-month training period in office. Hybrid potential after training period
Responsibilities:
- Engage in inside sales strategies to meet territory sales goals
- Focus on inside sales phone calls for all current, new, and targeted clients
- Conduct weekly zoom meetings with purpose: sales, education, relationship
- Understand customer’s needs & project types, and identify sales opportunities in live conversation, proposing products and solutions to fulfill these needs
- Implement monthly/quarterly/yearly email campaigns with strategic data collection to analyze effectiveness of individual campaigns
- Receive weekly leads for new customers – target, engage, & register new clients
- Porter Teleo expert on product, service, & experience
- Stays informed of current product launches, with a focus on product sales, education & services
- Prioritize and organize sales calls, activities, samples, registrations, follow ups, etc. via phone, email and handwritten correspondence in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist designers with product choices; clearly explaining the unique features of all Porter Teleo products lines & patterns
- Collaborate with all departments: outside sales, client services & production
- Contributes to the development of the inside sales department strategy and goals
- Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, analytical and organizational skills
- Strong voice and confident phone presence required
- Ability to talk on the phone & work on a computer for prolonged amount of time
- Active listening skills and relationship building skills and desire
- Can work independently and takes full ownership of role responsibilities and achievement of goals
- Organized workload and meet sensitive deadlines
- Basic computer & phone working skills
- Requires 2 - 3 years of relevant experience, including cold calling experience
